Nachi-no-himatsuri in Wakayama
Nachi-no-himatsuri is a fire festival that is held at the Kumano-Nachi-taisha shrine on July 14 every year.
Men in white traditional uniforms carry the torch on their shoulder and go up and down the stairs.
The torches are lighting the way for the deity of Kumano to welcome the twelve divine flags from the Kumano-Nachi shrine to the great waterfall of Nachi. It's one of a dangerous and exciting festival in Japan.
