Most famous Ootorii (divine gate) that stands on the water is the Itsukushima Shrine in Miyajima, Hiroshima prefecture, but this Ootorii is also famous gate that located in the biggest lake, Biwa Lake in Shiga prefecture. It is a little smaller than the Ootorii of Itsukushima Shrine, but shows more beautiful silhouette in front of the Biwa Lake.
